Distribution Agreement Between Papers Benefits Customer Delivery and Operating Effeciencies

DALLAS - The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and The Dallas Morning News announced today that they have reached a joint distribution agreement that is expected to expedite timely delivery and maximize operating efficiencies at both newspapers. The Star-Telegram will deliver The Dallas Morning News and its contracted publications in Tarrant, Parker, Hood and Johnson counties while The Dallas Morning News will deliver The Star-Telegram in Cook, Denton, Ellis, and Dallas counties. The agreement, which includes service goals to maintain quality delivery for both newspapers, will cover both home delivery and single copy distribution. The arrangement will be virtually transparent to subscribers. Subscribers will continue to contact their local papers with any questions about distribution.

Other major newspapers that have partnered to share distribution expenses include the Miami Herald and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.
